We collect only the essential details required to deploy and maintain your autonomous WhatsApp commerce store and AI sales agents:
- Contact Information: Your name, brand name, and WhatsApp phone number provided when requesting a store or joining our Founding 100 program.
- Business & Catalog Details: Product titles, descriptions, pricing, inventory details, and shipping policies needed to configure your conversational storefront.
- Transactional & Order Information: Customer order details, payment statuses, and shipping addresses collected during in-chat WhatsApp purchases to automate fulfillment.
- Technical & Analytical Data: Anonymized usage data, browser type, and device information gathered to monitor platform performance, uptime, and security.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to provide, maintain, and enhance our services:
- To set up and activate your WhatsApp storefront and AI sales agent.
- To send you real-time order notifications, payout confirmations, and operational updates via WhatsApp.
- To integrate with trusted payment gateways (PayU, for UPI and card payments) and automated logistics partners (e.g., Shiprocket).
- To provide personalized support and assistance from our co-founder directly on WhatsApp.
3. Data Protection & Zero-Selling Guarantee
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties. All data transmitted between your device, our servers, and the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption and stored securely in ISO/IEC 27001 certified Indian data centers.
4. Third-Party Services
To deliver automated commerce on WhatsApp, we work with strictly vetted enterprise service providers:
- Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API: For conversational messaging and storefront interactions.
- Meta Pixel on our homepage: When you visit behaf.co, the Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that you visited, and whether you sent our sign-up form or tapped "Create your store", so we can measure our ads and show them to the right people. We do not send your name or WhatsApp number to Meta. You can control ads from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- Payment Gateways & Escrow: Regulated Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorized partners for UPI payments and seller payouts.
- Logistics Partners: Integrated courier platforms for real-time dispatch and delivery tracking.
- AI chat on this website: The questions you type into the chat on behaf.co are processed by our AI technology provider to generate an answer. We do not keep the conversation on our servers; your browser holds it only for the current tab session. We keep the questions asked in the chat, with emails, links and phone numbers removed and no other identifier, so we can see what visitors want to know and improve our answers. If you mark an answer as unhelpful, we keep that answer for review. If you choose to leave your contact details in the chat (your name and WhatsApp number), we receive them together with a short copy of the chat so the Behaf team can contact you about Behaf, and we keep them for that purpose only. Please do not type card numbers, passwords or other sensitive details into the chat.
- Behaf AI Sales Agent on Telegram: If you message our Telegram bot, your questions are processed the same way as on the website, and Telegram handles the messages under its own privacy policy. We keep the conversation for 24 hours so the agent has context, then delete it; send /stop to clear it sooner. If you share your WhatsApp number in the chat, we keep it, with your Telegram name and a short copy of the chat, so the Behaf team can contact you about Behaf.
- Behaf AI Sales Agent on Instagram: If you message @behaf.co, your messages are processed the same way as on the website, and Meta handles them under its own privacy policy. We keep the conversation for 24 hours so the agent has context, then delete it; send "stop" to clear it sooner. If you type your WhatsApp number in the chat, we keep it, with a short copy of the chat, so the Behaf team can contact you about Behaf.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You maintain complete ownership of your brand data and customer relationships. You may request a complete export of your store catalog, update your contact details, or request permanent deletion of your account and records at any time.
